Principal's Message

Dear Members of the Marian College Community,

As I’ve mentioned before our theme for the year is ‘Hope—a Sense of Purpose’. This theme has gently guided us as we continue to explore its deeper meaning with our staff and students. In the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This scripture reminds us of the importance of hope as a guiding force in our lives. By nurturing this sense of purpose, we help our students embrace their futures with confidence and trust in the positive plans that lie ahead. Together, we can foster an environment where hope thrives and empowers our students to achieve their dreams.

As parents, your role in nurturing this hope is invaluable. Together, we can cultivate an environment where hope thrives, empowering our students to pursue their dreams with confidence and a strong sense of purpose.

Right to Disconnect

On 26 August, Right to Disconnect legislation came into effect. Under this legislation, Marian College employees, teachers and support staff have a right to disconnect from communication devices outside working hours. This policy ensures that our employees are not required to monitor, read, or respond to emails outside of work hours, which means that responses may not always be immediate. Staff are expected to respond to parent communications within 48 hours.

We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us meet our legal obligations.
