Annual General Meeting
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday, 26th March at 6:30pm. This meeting is held each year and is open to all members of our school community.
During the AGM, we will present the 2025 Annual Report to the community, providing an overview of the school’s achievements and key developments over the past year. Following the meeting, the report will be published on our website so that all members of our community can access it.
We warmly welcome anyone who would like to attend.
School Council
Our new School Council will meet for the first time on Wednesday, 26th March, immediately following the Annual General Meeting.
As part of the formation of our new council, we are currently seeking one additional community member. While the community member category is optional for school councils, these members often bring valuable skills and perspectives to the work of council.
From time to time, parents who are Department of Education employees are elected to the parent category of School Council. Department policy requires that these members are counted in the department employee category when determining meeting quorum requirements. As we currently have some parent representatives who are DET employees, we are therefore seeking an additional community member to support the balance of the council.
Community members are typically co-opted onto council at the first meeting of the newly elected council and cannot be Department of Education employees. They often contribute valuable expertise or experience in areas such as:
- community or parent group involvement
- finance or accounting
- digital technology
- project management or other professional skills.
If you feel you have skills or experience that may benefit the work of School Council, please feel free to get in touch.
In addition, expressions of interest will soon be sought for our 2026 School Council subcommittees. These groups support the work of council and are open to all members of the school community, not just council members. They are a wonderful way to become involved and support the work of the school.
We look forward to a productive year working together with our community.
Celebrate Neuro Diversity
April is recognised worldwide as a month to promote better understanding of autism. It kicks off with the United Nations’ World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April 2026. In Australia, the focus is moving from awareness to understanding and acceptance.
Our school is committed to building understanding of autism so we can better include and support autistic students every day.
To celebrate our autistic students on World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April we are holding a Hoodie Up Day at school to show our support for neurodiverse members of our community and to promote a message that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard and accepted.
Students are invited to wear a hoodie with their school uniform on the day. We encourage families to support this initiative with a gold coin donation, with all funds raised donated to Amaze to support their work advocating for and supporting autistic people and their families.
We look forward to coming together as a community to celebrate and support the diversity that makes our school such a wonderful place.
No Assembly Monday
Due to NAPLAN assessments, there will be no assembly on Monday.
