Emily with Prep-3

Students could choose to draw their bird freehand or use a template to draw around.  Considerations in their picture included:

• What type of eyes and how will the eye shape influence the viewer's interpretation of the picture?
• Which body parts to do need to draw so it resembles a bird?
• Will my bird being doing an activity like singing?
• How will I use colour?
• What will I name my art piece?

Years prep to 3 - Art with Nicole

Nicole's Prep - 2 art class have begun to create some wavey line ocean art. They are using spirals, waves, loops and curves along with oil pastels and water colour to make something that will look something like this:

New School Mural

Also in art this year, Emily will be collecting plastic lids for creating more collaborative art. Last year Emily let our school community know that our much loved colourful tree school mural is in a state of disrepair and we will be creating a new mural with our students.

Families are encouraged to collect as many different types, shapes and colours of clean plastic lids and drop them into our boxes located around the school.
