In our classrooms this week, Steph has been working through a unit in Grow Your Mind which included a Speed Date session on getting to know your school peers. They have also participated in an activity My Invisible Backpack, listing and or drawing about the role models you "carry around" with you in your mind. What do they teach me? How do they influence how I see myself? Is this influence helpful, unhelpful or a mix of both?
In Anna's classroom, students broke into small groups or pairs to delve into the world of leadership. What makes a good leader? When leadership is shown, how do we consider what is good for the community as whole? And how can our behaviour positivly influence those around us?
The groups where then given a link with a discussion prompt, for example; Imagine you are in a world where everybody believed stealing was okay.......
