Foundation Learning Community News

It’s been a busy couple of weeks in Foundation, full of exciting learning and new experiences!

In Literacy, we have been working hard on writing sentences. All of our effort learning our sounds and tricky words is really paying off! We now know that a sentence includes a capital letter at the start, spaces between words, and a full stop at the end.

In Maths, we have been learning all about shapes. We explored the features of circles, triangles, rectangles, and squares. We were fantastic shape detectives, spotting lots of shapes in our school environment. We even used shapes to create our very own shape monsters!

We were very fortunate to have a visit from St John Ambulance, who taught us all about their important role as community helpers. During their visit, we learned how to assist others in an emergency by looking out for danger, checking for a response, and knowing how to call for help.
