Strengthening Our Community
– June Events
At Essendon Primary, we believe a strong school community supports happier families, more connected students, and a better environment for all. That’s why we’re excited to introduce the first in a series of community-building events designed to bring us together.
🧸 The Treasure Table
Have gently used clothes, toys, or household items you no longer need? Looking to find new treasures for your family? The Treasure Table is a give-or-swap event that’s all about sustainability, sharing, and supporting one another!
📅 Saturday 21st of June, 2025
🕘 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 EPS Gym
💡 RSVP required by Wednesday, 18th of June to reserve a space to share items.
What is it?
A give-or-swap event where families can bring gently used or new items they no longer need (like kids’ clothes, toys, games, or household goods) and find new treasures from others!
Who can join?
Everyone! Whether you're giving, swapping, or just browsing, you're welcome. You don’t need to bring anything to take part.
Important Notes:
• Items must be clean and in good condition
• No electronics, please (we can’t test them)
• No sales, just swaps and shares!
• This is about generosity and community
Want a space to display your items? Make sure to fill out our quick Google Form to reserve a spot. Spaces are limited!
Let’s come together to swap, share, and spark joy in our community. See you there!
☕ The Monday Mug – 1st Edition!
Come along to our first Monday Mug, a friendly catch-up at a local café. It’s a great chance to meet other parents, chat informally, and connect with school council members. This event will take place every two months on the 4th Monday of the month, starting this June. To support as many businesses as possible, the venue will be different every session and will be announced at the start of the month.
📅 Monday 23rd of June, 2025
🕘 9:15 AM – 10:30 AM
📍 Assembly Ground (104 Fletcher St, Essendon)
💡 RSVP not needed but highly appreciated!
What is it?
A relaxed and friendly get-together at a local café for parents in our school community. This is a great space to meet new people, share ideas or questions, strengthen connections, and be heard. Each session will have at least one school council member present to listen and connect. Think of it as a space to make friends, share questions, ideas, or feedback in an informal setting.
Why join?
• It’s casual—no RSVP needed (but it helps us a lot if you do!)
• It supports local cafes and eateries
• You’ll feel more connected to our school community
• It’s a space for friendship
Important to know:
•Drinks and food are at your own expense, ears and friends are free!
• Council reps may not have all the answers on the spot, but will follow up as needed
• Venues are walking distance from EPS and change each time to spread the love among local businesses
Let’s chat, sip, connect, and support local together.
Bring your (travel) mug, bring a friend, or just bring yourself. Everyone’s welcome!
We hope you’ll join us in making EPS an even more vibrant and connected community. This is just the beginning—more events are coming soon!
If you have questions, feel free to reach out—we’d love to hear from you!
