Year 2 News

Dear Families,

It’s great to see our students settled into the term and striving hard to achieve their learning goals. In Maths, we've been exploring doubling and halving numbers with visual and virtual materials, along with developing understanding of things that turn in the environment, linking with time and o’clock, quarter past and half past . In English, students have been reading books by Peter Carnavas and are now creating their second own imaginative texts inspired by his work. They’re excited to share these with you soon!

Next, we’ll be investigating recalling facts for two’s using doubling and halving through games. We’re also looking forward to our excursion to the aquarium next week, which will support both our Science and English learning.

Thank you for your continued support—we’re excited for the term ahead!
