Foundation News

Dear Families,
We’re already halfway through Term 2 and the Foundation students have been working hard and making fantastic progress!
In English, we have now learnt 16 letter sounds and are beginning to segment and blend VC (vowel-consonant) and CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words to help us read and write simple words. It’s been so exciting to see students apply their growing knowledge in their writing and during reading groups.
In Wellbeing, we are exploring the concept of strengths – learning how to recognise our own strengths and the strengths in others. This has led to some beautiful reflections and conversations.
We’re also continuing to build on being inclusive – both inside and outside the classroom – through group activities, story time discussions, and play. It’s wonderful to see students growing in confidence, kindness and cooperation.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
