BNPS IDAHOBIT Day 2025

On the 19th of May, BNPS celebrated IDAHOBIT Day. Our school’s Inclusion Action Team (IAT) organised class activities and a stall. Everyone looked so fantastic dressed up in all the colours of the rainbow.

Our students had an opportunity to donate a gold coin to MINUS 18. We collected $378.10, just from the gold coin collection!

For the stall the IAT members created badges, bracelets and key-chains. Every single item was sold! Our school collected $583.15 to donate to MINUS 18 from the stall. Thank you to all the families who donated supplies to make the bracelets and all the IAT members for working hard all term to create the items. Special shout-out to Petra from 5/6C who first proposed the idea of the stall and organised the badge-maker.

Altogether our school raised $961.25 for MINUS 18! Thank you for your generous support. This donation will allow MINUS 18 to continue their amazing work helping to create an Australia where all LGBTQIA+ young people are safe, empowered and surrounded by people that support them.

As a whole school activity, we created hands - with the preps creating red, 1/2s orange and yellow, 3/4s green and light blue and 5/6s dark blue and purple. All these hands will go on display to create a giant rainbow, celebrating inclusivity and diversity.

Attached are photos showing our whole school at assembly, the IAT stall in action, beautiful chalk messages and drawings, and our Inclusion Action Team together celebrating their hard work!
