Learning in Prep

In Prep land, we are bursting with excitement as we’ve officially finished learning all of our single-letter phonograms! The students have worked incredibly hard to master each sound, learn how to correctly form every letter, and apply these phonograms when reading and writing words.

To celebrate all our fantastic learning, we're having a very special birthday party on Tuesday, 17th June!

Throughout the year, the children have absolutely loved exploring new sounds through the story Milo’s Birthday Surprise. Each time we introduced a new phonogram, a new character was invited to Milo’s party. This has made learning so much fun, and the students have really embraced every new sound and character.

To mark this exciting achievement, we’re inviting all Prep students to come dressed as their favourite Milo character! Costumes can be as simple as a splash of colour, something homemade, or a bright and bold outfit, it’s completely up to you!

The day will be packed with fun party games, activities, and lots of celebrating. We can’t wait to acknowledge and enjoy all the wonderful learning that’s happened this year!
