Reconciliation Week 2025

Celebrating Reconciliation Week: "Bridging Now to Next"

These last two weeks, our school came together to celebrate and learn about Reconciliation Week, guided by this year’s theme, "Bridging Now to Next." Through stories, art, and meaningful conversations, we explored the importance of building respectful relationships between Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and non-Indigenous Australians.

Students engaged in activities that deepened their understanding of culture, history, and the need to work together for reconciliation. The week concluded with The Long Walk, where a few of our student leaders went to Aquinas to hear from First Nation peoples and friends of Michael Long to honor Michael Long's legacy and reflect on how we can contribute to a brighter, united future.

It was a powerful reminder of the steps we can take today to create lasting change for tomorrow.
