Shrek Jr. Musical Production – Progress Update & Call for Volunteers
Excitement is building as we continue to make fantastic progress on our upcoming musical production of Shrek Jr.! Rehearsals are well underway, and both students and staff are working hard to bring this magical show to life. From singing and acting to choreography and set design, the energy and enthusiasm have been amazing to see.
A huge thank you to all the families who visited our Production Stall during Education Open Afternoon. It was wonderful to chat with so many of you, and we greatly appreciate those who signed up to help. Your support is vital in making this production a success!
We do have a few specific requests where we’d love your assistance:
- Truck Driver Needed: We are looking for someone with a Heavy Rigid licence who is able to drive a 3-tonne truck to the theatre to help transport our props and costumes. If this sounds like you—or someone you know—please get in touch!
- Coat Hangers: We’re in need of additional coat hangers for our growing collection of costumes. If you have any to spare, please send them in.
- Costume Labels: If you're handy with scissors and fabric, we’d love your help in cutting out costume labels. Simply use scrap fabric or an old sheet and cut rectangles approximately 10 cm by 5 cm. These will be pinned to costumes to keep everything organised.
For those who added their names to our volunteer lists, keep an eye on your inbox—emails will be sent out shortly with more information about jobs that need doing and upcoming working bees.
Of course, we would never say no to extra help! If you’re able to assist in any way—big or small—please don’t hesitate to reach out. Every little bit makes a big difference as we bring the world of Shrek Jr. to the stage.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm!
