Learning in Year 4

What's been happening in Year 4?

As Semester 2 draws to a close, our Year 4 students should feel very proud of their hard work and perseverance throughout the recent assessment period. Their dedication has truly impressed us, and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts. As the weather gets colder, please make sure students are dressed warmly and are supported with plenty of nutritious food and restful sleep to keep them healthy and energised."

Literacy

In Literacy, students have been exploring information reports, learning about their key features and structure. As part of Integrated unit, Roots Shoots and Muddy Boots the the students have particularly enjoyed selecting topics of personal interest such as pollution, recycling, sustainable farming, and climate change to research and write about. 

Mathematics

In Maths, we’ve been applying our knowledge of shapes to explore symmetry, composite shapes, enlargements, and dilations. Students have used these concepts creatively to produce stunning artworks that showcase their mathematical thinking.
