-Year 9 You Yangs Bushwalk excursaion
Students in Year 9 will explore the You Yangs Regional Park as part of the Year 9 Health and Physical Education curriculum during this excursion. Students will explore bushwalking as a type of physical activity that promotes lifelong health benefits, including improved cardiovascular fitness.
Students will need to bring a day pack that includes
-Morning and afternoon tea
-Lunch
-2 Ltrs of water, hat & sunscreen
Students will need to wear
Sturdy walking shoes/runnerssports uniformlong pants

This excursion is exclusively for Year-9 Students studying Human History Masterclass. In this excursion, students will enter the Immigration Museum

Public transport from Williams Landing Train station. Meet at Williams Landing Train station at 8.45am for a 9am train departure.

For Careers and Leadership, students will travel to the city and work in groups to navigate city landmarks that have influenced the multicultural and diversity of Melbourne.
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN MYKI CARD WITH FUNDS AVAILABLE.
Format for the day:
- Students arrive at Williams Landing Station by 8am. MB, JF, DW, HJ will be at the Station from 7.45am in high visibility clothing.
- Roll call will be at 8.05am sharp. Only students marked present at this roll call will be able to attend the excursion.
- 8.15am Train departs Williams Landing.
- 9.30am- 1.30pm Students complete the various activities at Melbourne Museum.
- 1.45pm Students depart via return train.
- 2.35pm Students dismissed from Williams Landing Station.
Friday 25th July
-Year 9 Melbourne Careers Expo
Our Year 9s will have the opportunity to head to the Melbourne Careers Expo. This is the largest careers event in Australia, where students will have the opportunity to move between dozens of different seminars and workshops to receive a taste of different vocations.
Given this event takes place partially outside of school hours, it is an optional event and we will have limited spots available. The first 108 students to attain parental consent will be able to attend, however students not demonstrating the school values in the lead-up will be removed.
The event is located at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Format for the day
8.40am -Students will attend school as usual in the morning.
11.45am- We will depart DCC in a chartered bus at 11.45am for MCEC.
12.30pm- We will arrive in the city at around 12.30pm and then have lunch. Students are encouraged to bring lunch with them, but will have the opportunity to buy something to eat as well.
2.00pm- We will then be admitted to the Expo at 2pm, and students will have 2 hours to participate in activities before things close.
4.00pm- We will then take the bus home at 4pm, with expected return to DCC at 5pm.
Friday 12th September
Year 6 Chinese Museum Excursion
Grade 6 students will be going on an exciting excursion to the Chinese Museum in the city. This museum is a special place where we can learn about the history of Chinese people in Australia, including the gold rush, traditional festivals, and how Chinese culture has helped shape our country.
Students will also explore Chinatown, and using direction words to support them finding interesting places in the city.
Monday 15th September
Year 9 Holocaust Museum Excursion
The Holocaust Museum Excursion will give students a unique opportunity to link their knowledge of their English text; Night with their emerging knowledge of WW2 and the impact of the Holocaust.
During the excursion students will visit the 'Everybody Had a Name' exhibition which show the sequence of events leading up to the outbreak of Nazism in Europe, the liberation of Concentration Camp and the aftermath.
They will also experience a artefact handling session with museum curators and their excursion will end with a Q+A session with a Holocaust Survivor.

Year 5 Anglesea Discovery Camp- Monday 6th October to Wednesday 8th October
Anglesea Adventure Camp provides a unique and engaging outdoor experience for Grade 5 students, offering a variety of activities such as kayaking, rock climbing, bushwalking, abseiling, and archery.
Monday 27th October to Wendeday 29th October
Year 3 Group 1 Cam
Group 1 (3I, 3E, 3D, 3B, 3J) will go from 27-29 October. The students will be staying for 2 nights and 3 days. They will travel by bus to the campsite.
