Year 10
'Prepare today, succeed tomorrow'
On Friday, 23rd of May, our year 10 cohort participated in their first ever Level Up Day – and what a fantastic experience it was! Students took part in a series of interactive workshops and presentations designed to support their personal growth, academic development and future planning – areas which are all meaningfully connected to our Learning Journey – 'Prepare Today, Succeed Tomorrow'.
Consent in the Digital World: External presenters led thoughtful and informative discussions around online behaviour, respectful communication and personal boundaries – an important topic for all young people. We were so proud of how many of our students contributed positively to the discussions and activities!
Elevate Education – Study Sensei: Students were introduced to powerful study strategies and tips on how to effectively prepare for exams. We encourage students to revisit the booklets they completed and incorporate these techniques for their upcoming exams.
Andrew Fisher – Life Choices: Andrew shared powerful insights into the importance of the choices we make and how to overcome challenges with resilience and purpose. Andrew brought along his racing car to engage students and left us all feeling moved and motivated by his story.
Careers and Pathways: Thank you to our Careers team who delivered an essential session on understanding the difference between VCE and VCE VM options, alongside reminders about work experience which is fast approaching. Students took home information packs, and their work experience forms that need to be returned by the end of Term 2.
Parents and carers are highly encouraged to attend the Course Counselling information evening in the last week of term to be fully informed and ready to assist students through their very important pathway decisions this year.
To top it all off, we came together to enjoy the BBQ lunch, giving students the opportunity to relax and socialise with peers and staff, a well-earned break after a big day of learning! A huge well done to all year 10 students who represented the school beautifully in the way you embraced each session and participated thoughtfully and maturely. A big thank you goes to all the staff who contributed to make the day flow seamlessly.
