Year 8
'Have a Positive Impact'
The start of June marks the beginning of our cold, winter months. Please remember to bring a note or email your child’s homegroup teacher if they are out of uniform. Please note that hoodies and puffer jackets are not permitted, even when a note is provided. The Year 8 Team are happy to support with acquiring the correct uniform if needed.
In year 8 Science, students have been hands-on with a range of exciting experiments to explore the differences between chemical and physical changes. From mixing substances that fizz and change colour to observing changes in state like melting and freezing, students have been developing their skills in observation, recording results, and drawing conclusions. These practical investigations have sparked curiosity and deepened their understanding of how materials behave and interact in the world around them.

Baseball
Berwick students competed well in the Baseball competition, round two at Cheltenham. For many of the students, it was their first time playing baseball but that did not deter them from getting stuck in and competing well against other schools. They competed in two, one-hour games and they got over a dozen home to score some points on the board. There were numerous students who tried the catching and pitching roles. These are important roles in baseball and hopefully the students may bring what they have learned and practice by themselves or join a local club. These include the Berwick Baseball Club or the Pakenham Pumas.
The students involved were: Maverick Andrews, Logan Baker, Levi Campbell, Will Gouge, Lochlin Green, Tyler Markulija, Jackson Miller, Ezekiel Wilson and Bronson Wright.
