Around The School

Parliament Prize 2023
Each year, the Parliament of Victoria asks students across the state, from Grade 5 to Year 12, to share what you would say to parliament if you were an MP.
This is a chance for students to talk about the issues that are important to them and their community. Students recorded their own 90-second Member’s Statement video and submitted them to the Victorian Parliament.
With over 1,000 entries, we are very proud to announce that Jaanvi Kanakuntla (6CG), was a finalist in this year’s competition, eventually finishing in the top 10 in the state.
Congratulations on an amazing effort and your dedication and passion Jaanvi.
Have you spotted the new green house behind 4LP?
Last week we had two representatives from 'Repurpose It' who came to check out the green house that we won. 4LP got to plant the first crops which will be growing in this awesome space. Hopefully in the next couple of days we should see sprouting of beans.

Book Week
No better way to kick off our OOPS Book Week than a Book Walk. On Monday morning students from all year levels had the chance to visit a different classroom and teacher to share in a book and complete an activity related to the text. Another example of our love of reading bringing us together!
Father's Day Breakfast
Thank you to Miranda Bailey from Jellis Craig Whitehorse and Martin Bennett from The Loan Room for generously donating the coffee van for this morning's Father's Day breakfast.
