Year 12 VTAC Applications

VTAC administers the application processes for tertiary institutions. You only need to submit one application for up to eight different courses at the same or different institutions. This saves you from having to complete multiple applications for each institution.

Students who attended one of three presentations will have found out how to go about registering and applying for university and/or TAFE courses for 2024.

Furthermore, the process for SEAS applications and scholarships was presented. A slideshow is available on the Year 12 Careers Google Classroom to assist those that did not attend the presentations.

Information can also be found on the VTAC website and YouTube channel.

If students need assistance with their application, they can make an appointment to see one of the careers practitioners via Student Services.

  • Leadership
  • Teamwork
  • Effective communication
  • Youth Development
  • Navigation
  • Physical health and wellbeing
  • International and interstate activities
  • Water themed activities including sailing, canoeing, knot tying

We also try to teach cadets lifelong skills such as:

  • Confidence
  • Pride (in themselves and the uniform they represent)
  • Self-discipline
  • Independence
  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Respect

Australian Navy Cadets is not just for those who are looking at joining the defence force, but for those who want something different on their resume's when they go to get that first job. Something that they can be proud of and something that will give them friends that will last long after their cadet days are over.

  • Camp staff will provide trainees with on-the-job training and experience across a wide variety of adventure activities including Canoeing, Caving, High Ropes, XC skiing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Indoor climbing, initiative, and team games

  • Trainees will receive the Award Training Wage for the year, with accommodation and meals also provided whilst camps are in progress.
  • A driver’s license is required by the commencement (or early in 2024) of the programs.

Applications close on Sunday 24 September.
