Meeting minutes - Week 9: Tuesday 5/09/23

On Tuesday the Senior SLC Team had their final meeting for Term 3. We also had Ollie McPhee join us to share his report from the Primary SLC! There was a lot discussed at the meeting. Minutes are recorded below: 

1: Primary SLC report

• Primary kids looking at purchasing water dispensers and new sports equipment specifically an ankle ball.

2: R U OK Day: As per last newsletter, SLC to run activity on Thursday week 10

• Running a game in the stadium during lunchtime, vice captains to discuss with Tom.

3: Feedback on the smoking ceremony

• The presentation was really good.
• The actual smoking ceremony could have been better explained; maybe an explanation as to what the different elements mean or symbolise?
• Primary kids: Apparently a little boring; maybe the F-6 kids could have their own presentation/ceremony.

4: Year 11 Room reno update 

• Going along well. Tables have been removed, old pinboards being removed, furniture being ordered. 

5: Other points to discuss 

• Year 11s:
  • Girls' bathrooms are lacking sanitary bins in both High School and Tafe bathrooms; need one per stall.
  • Year 11s working on getting Spotify unblocked.
  • Canteen Duty including cleaning and serving: Needs to be more noticeable and teachers need to remind students.
