Principal's Report

Dear families,

Teachers have really enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with families this week and discuss your child’s progress at school.

As a way of celebrating Book Week students are being asked to dress up as their favourite book character on Monday 21st of August. Currently we have the short-listed books displayed in the Central learning Street if anyone would like to come in and have a browse. There will be a parade at 9 am. Parents are welcome to stay for this.

FATHER’S DAY STALL

Our annual Father’s Day Stall is on Wednesday 30th August. Donations for the stall would be greatly appreciated. They can be sent along to school or be left in the basket near the office.

NAPLAN

NAPLAN results were presented in a different manner this year. Instead of Bands, the reports now have four proficiencies:

  1. Exceeding
  2. Strong
  3. Developing
  4. Needs additional support.

Our 2023 results are ones we are very proud of. In all areas we're above our Network and in all but one area above Similar Schools. Our students and teachers are to be congratulated on these results.

NEW ZEALAND PLAYHOUSE THEATRE

Next Tuesday we have the New Zealand Playhouse Theatre visiting our school to perform 'Treasure Island.' I’m sure it will be just as entertaining as previous years. The cost for the performance is $8. This is included in the Excursion Levy. Families who haven’t paid the levy will be invoiced. Statements were emailed today.

Have a lovely weekend,

Regards Heather
