From the Classrooms

The Police come to Prep!

The Victorian Police came to visit the Preps last Monday! They taught us how to identify the police, what they do, what equipment they wear, and gave us reminders about wearing our seatbelts and helmets. Thank you Senior Sergeant Simon, Senior Constable Sam and Sergeant Hannah for your visit! Have a look at the preps going in the Highway Patrol car!

From the Year 1s:

The Year Ones had a fabulous time at Ceres Environmental Park on Thursday 17th August. We learnt about traditional Indonesian dancing and clothing, played Indonesian games, and even had a go at mashing rice seeds. As Thursday was Indonesian Independence Day, we paraded around Ceres wearing traditional Indonesian clothing to celebrate Indonesian culture. The students were excited to show the Ceres educators all the Indonesian words they knew too!

JSC Sports Colours Day

The Junior School council are busily getting ready for our next fundraiser! Ricarda from the front office came and spoke to us about School State Relief, an amazing organisation that has helped 67,000 vulnerable students access uniforms and supplies. This important charity holds our school value of 'Neighbourly' in the highest regard! We cannot wait for Sports Colours Day on Friday September 15th to raise some much needed funds for this amazing cause.

*Check out the uniforms of the students from 1930s when the organisation was first established.

Touch of Green & Gold Day:

On Wednesday 16th August, the students dressed in a touch of green & gold to show our Matildas some support as they embarked on their first World cup Semi-Final! Looks like a lot of fun was had by all!
