P&C News:

Our Spring Festival was a success! A big thank you to our principal Ms Niedermayer, school staff, canteen staff, our committee members and volunteers who made this day happen.

Thank you to Bec Cheetham for organising & communicating arrangements in collaboration with Ms Niedermayer, Mrs Chatterton and of course our office staff.

Loads of happy students and their families attended the festival. Thank you to DJ Riley and Lisa @Faces to Paint, for their music and face painting we were able to fund.

A big shout out to Oak Flats Newsagency for their donated magazines we were able to pass on for a bargain gold coin donation. Thank you Emma and our year 6 helpers for transporting the magazines to the P&C stand for the day.

Congratulations to the winners of our Flower Frenzy Art competition! We had over 70 entries, well done to everyone who entered.

We hope everyone enjoyed their day and thank you to everyone involved for supporting such a great event.

A big thank you to Bendigo Bank who granted us some community funding last year. Bendigo Bank’s grant enabled us to install some new canteen signs that are lovely and bright.

Thank you to a local family-run business Sign Syndicate for their work.

Our small but mighty P&C team have organised some great events and fundraisers so far this year.

Every bit of help counts and we would love to see some new faces pop in to meetings to give their ideas and contribute, or volunteer at our events.

Contrary to popular belief, it’s important to know that if you attend a meeting, you will not be given a job to do. We do, however, need a minimum number of attendees to hold a meeting.

Did you know that our Healthy School Approved canteen is run by our P&C?

Without a committee and our dedicated canteen staff, we would not be able to provide such a fantastic service. Many schools don’t have a canteen at all. At Oak Flats Public School, we are very fortunate that our School can benefit in so many ways because of what we do.

We have a few office bearers moving on next year too, and are hoping to show new members the ropes before it’s time for us to move on.

Many hands make light work.

If you have any enquiries, please reach out by either calling the school office or emailing us at ofpspc@gmail.com.

Next meeting: General meeting 6:30 pm Wednesday 25 October 2023 at the school library.
