Languages Theatre

The Language department has recently undergone the highlight of their year, Languages Theatre!!!

Languages Theatre is a collection of live and filmed productions in the languages offered by the College (German and Japanese). The purpose is to entertain(and hopefully educate) those who choose to come along. We also enjoyed German sausages and Japanese Ramune, brought together by the languages teaching team.

Students from year 9 to year 12 wrote or adapted their own skits and shows into Japanese and German. This teaches students the fun of learning a language and the importance of language in entertainment, and, as a bonus, teaches students different vocabulary and expands on their learning while developing teamwork skills and creativity.

This year 12 years 12s undertook Languages Theatre for the last time. As one of them I wish to stress the importance of the event in language learning, and encourage everyone to come along next year.
