Senior School News
It's been a busy end to the term as Units 3 & 4 come to an end. We recognise the hard work the students have put in over the year and the end of term was heavy with assessments. The students have demonstrated excellent persistence and resilience throughout the term and we are very proud of their efforts.
Missed SACs
At the end of this week, some students will have missed SACs due to illness. There are two days during the holidays when rescheduled SACs will be run:
- Wednesday 20th September (week 1)
- Tuesday 26th September (week 2)
Both of these sessions begin at 9:00am. Students will see an event on their Compass schedules and must attend the session. If they are unwell when a SAC has been rescheduled, they will need a medical certificate. It is important that these final SACs are completed prior to the beginning of Term 4 so the students can focus on exam revision.
Holiday exam revision and preparation
Many subejcts are running revision and preparation sessions during the holiday break. There is a timetable on the Senior School Teams page and events have been made by the VCE subject teams. These sessions will provide students with valuable skills in understanding how to approach revision for exams and how to answer exam questions precisely. All students have been signed up to a revision program run my an external company called Skyline Hatch. Students have been sent an email from Skyline Hatch to their Viewbank email account. This email contains details about how to log on to the Zoom sessions. More information about these sessions will be posted on MS Teams.

R U OK Day Afternoon Tea
All Year 12’s were invited to get together, share some food and check in with each other in the J block court yard for RU ok day. This year’s theme for RU OK Day is I’m Here to Hear’, encouraging students to listen to their peers and hear their responses. Thank you to our senior student leaders for setting up the event and providing the music for the break.
Staff vs Students
The staff vs Students games continued with a friendly game a Handball. It was a fast pace and exciting match between the staff and students. Coming down to a Matilda’s style penalty shoot out at the end. Staff were victorious in the end.
