The Fathering Project

Quality Time

In this fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in our daily routines and commitments, often leaving us with less time than we'd like to spend with our loved ones, especially our children.

Quality time is the cornerstone of strong and meaningful relationships and it holds an even greater significance when it comes to the bond between a father and their child. Those shared moments of laughter, learning, and simply being present create lasting memories that shape a child's life.

As a father, you have the extraordinary opportunity to be a role model, a confidant, and a source of support.

So, let's remember the moments that matter most and make a conscious effort to spend 10 more minutes of quality time each day with our kids.

Top Tips

  1. Focus on connecting. Help your child to feel like they are valued, loved and worth your time.
  2. Book in a dad date. It doesn't have to be extravagant, a milkshake date, a trip to the local park, kicking the footy or being creative together.
  3. No distractions. Quality time means no distractions. It's time to focus and connect with your child.
