Melbourne Symphony Orchestra
Last Tuesday, March 18th, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra came to our school. We got to play along with them and listen to how they played. They introduced themselves and told us what they played. We played with drumsticks, shakers, and chopsticks. Our favourite part was listening and playing along with the musicians. Thank you to Mrs B for organising this for the school.
Prep Buddy Lunch
The year 6’s and preps participated in the prep buddy picnic. With snacks, sausages and games, we had a great time. We had so much fun when we played tunnel ball, had a dance party and had loads of fun! The parents even joined in all of the fun activities to make sure they did not miss out on any of the fun. At the end of the fun night, we all joined in the cha cha slide, even the teachers.
Regional Swimming Championships
On Thursday the 20th of March, Imogen, Josephine and Liam competed in the regional swimming championships. They all worked as hard as they could, with challenging competitors. It was amazing to show that 3 out of Our Lady’s competed in the regional swimming championships.
The Excursion to St Patrick’s Cathedral
The School Captains and the Social Justice Leaders had an excursion to St Patrick's Cathedral, where we went to Church and celebrated the St Patrick's Day Mass, we sang along to the songs and participated in prayer. It was awesome to see how huge the cathedral was. There were so many schools that joined us on Friday, the Cathedral was packed. After the mass, most of the schools went to the Treasury Gardens and listened to high school band performances, played games and had loads of fun. After this, we got back on the bus and returned to school, thanks to Mrs Glouftsis and Mrs Murray for taking us on this great experience.
