2025 SCHOOL THEME: EMBEDDING INCLUSIVE PRACTICES TO ENHANCE LEARNING AND WELLBEING.
When we implement inclusive practices, students feel welcomed, supported, valued and will also empower parent/carer voice and collaboration.
Dear parents, carers and friends of the school community
Student Leadership Group
Congratulations to all our 2025 Student Leaders for all our commitment to our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support, weekly ticket draw and for all the effort you put into designing our 2025 cultural calendar. Our Student Leadership group is growing annually and this year we have over 50 student leaders. Look forward to working closely with you all this year.
Curriculum Day
On Tuesday 11 March staff particpated in an important professional learning linked to our School Strategic Plan - Learning and Wellbeing.
Curriculum Day topics include:
Trauma Informed Practices - Wellbeing: Facilitators: Stacie Herman and Jen Bals
Restorative Practices - Wellbeing: Facilitator: Dan Moloney
Active Schools - Wellbeing: Facilitators: Active Schools
Mandatory Reporting
Understanding and Managing Epilepsy
The day was filled with really practical activities for teaching teams to support student learning and wellbeing.
Leadership Development
Since the beginning of 2023, our leaders have been participating in a series of leadership development sessions facilitated by Sue Perillo from Organisational Directions. The 2022 School Review made a recommendation for leaders to have access to structured professional learning opportunities and mentoring programs that would develop specific leadership skills and abilities. Yesterday all our leaders were engaged in a specific activity where Sue modelled a collaborative solution building process, whereby the solution was the development of a checklist of do’s and don’ts of behaviours that support their functional day to day role as well as whole school leadership roles.

Unwell students
If your child is presenting with cold and flu like symptoms we kindly ask families to keep your child at home if they are experiencing symptoms.
Each morning when students are getting ready for school, I ask that you be mindful of how your child is presenting. If they/he/she is feeling/looking/acting unusual or is complaining of being unwell please take them to the doctor. Minimising the cross-infection will assist in reducing the risk of spreading bugs and viruses.
All student absences can be made through the dedicated student absence notification number. Text the student's name, room number and reason for absence.
Make sure you have the student absence notification number saved in your contacts:
