Student Reporting - Parent Feedback Survey
As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the educational experience for our students, we are once again seeking your invaluable feedback on our student reporting template. Following our most recent review in 2023, we aim to ensure that our reports effectively communicate your child's academic and social/emotional progress, and remove unnecessary 'curriculum jargon'.
Your Insights Matter
We understand that clear and meaningful communication is essential in supporting your child's learning journey. Therefore, we would like to understand which sections of the reporting template you find most valuable. Your insights will help us identify the areas that best convey your child's achievements and areas for growth.
Simplifying the Language
One of the key areas we are exploring is the reduction of 'curriculum jargon.' We recognise that educational terminology can sometimes be confusing, and we want to make our reports more accessible and understandable. Our goal is to provide a clear picture of what your child has been learning and how they are progressing, without the need for complex language.
How You Can Help
We kindly ask you to take 2-3min to complete a short survey.
Your feedback is important in helping us create a reporting template that truly meets the needs of our school community. We appreciate your time and effort in providing this valuable input.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. Together, we can ensure that our reporting template is a useful document for all parents/carers.
2025 Curriculum Days
Term 2
Tuesday 1 July - Staff Planning Day for Semester 2
Term 3
Wednesday 27 August - Whole Staff Protective Intervention Training
Protective intervention training teaches school staff how to handle complex student behaviours in a way that keeps everyone safe. It helps them calm down situations where students are feeling heightened and dysregulated. This training ensures that both students and staff stay safe. The training has been booked for a Wednesday to allow for the maximum number of staff to attend.
Term 4
Monday 3 November (Cup Eve) - Staff Report Writing Day
Monday 15 December - 2026 Teacher Planning Day and Classroom Moving Day
Open Classrooms
We are excited to open our doors for our upcoming Open Classrooms afternoon on Friday 28 March from 2.00-3.00pm.
During the Open Classrooms event, you will have the chance to observe classroom activities, see our dedicated teachers in action, and participate in activities alongside your child.
CEPS Anzac Day Assembly
We are honoured to invite you to our upcoming CEPS ANZAC Ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, April 24th, from 3:00-3:15pm. This important event is a time for our school community to come together to remember and pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
We are especially excited to welcome Captain Andrew Newman from the Australian Defence Force who will join us for this special occasion.
The ceremony will include:
- Acknowledgment of Country
- Speeches and reflections on the ANZAC spirit
- A moment of silence to honour those who have served
- The playing of "The Last Post" and "Reveille"
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this important occasion with our school community. Additionally, there are Anzac Day Appeal items for sale including pens, keyrings wristbands and many more that range from $1 to $5. Cash only at the office.
Crazy Hair Day
We are thrilled to celebrate a huge milestone—our students have earned over 400 values tickets this term for consistently demonstrating our school values of Courtesy, Respect, Co-operation, and Responsibility. What an incredible achievement!
Every ticket represents a moment where a student made a positive choice, showed kindness, supported a peer, or acted responsibly in the classroom or playground. These daily actions, while sometimes small, add up to create a strong and respectful school community—and we are so proud of the way our students have embraced this.
To recognise and celebrate this amazing effort, we’re holding a Crazy Hair Day on Friday 4 April! Students are invited to get creative with their hairstyles. We can’t wait to see the colourful, wild, and wacky styles on display!
A big thank you to all of our students for living our school values every day, and to our staff and families for supporting and encouraging these positive behaviours. Let’s keep the momentum going!
Well done, everyone!
Duty of Care
After school, supervision concludes at 3:45 pm. A bell will ring at this time to signal that any remaining students who have not been collected must go to the office. Students who walk home independently must also leave the school grounds at this time.
Access to the buildings before school, recess and lunch is not permitted for students unless there are specific transition arrangements agreed upon by the Principal, where supervision arrangements have been made.
Term 1 Parent/Carer and Teacher Learning Progress Meetings
Our Term 2 Parent/Carer and Teacher Learning Progress Meetings will be held at the beginning of Term 2. Bookings will open on Monday 31st of March at 4.00pm and will close on Wednesday the 23rd of April at 4.00pm. Parent Teacher Conversations provide an opportunity to discuss your child’s Term 1 progress, and areas for growth. These conversations are a valuable way to strengthen the partnership between home and school. We encourage all families to attend and work with teachers to support their child’s learning journey. If you require a meeting with a specialist teacher, please Dojo them separately to arrange a convenient time.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Jared
