Victorian Curriculum 2.0

Following our earlier communication regarding the introduction of Victorian Curriculum Version 2.0 for Mathematics, we are writing to update you on the broader curriculum changes.
From 2026, all Victorian government schools will be required to implement Version 2.0 of the Victorian Curriculum F–10 across all learning areas, including English, Science, Humanities, The Arts, Technologies, Health and Physical Education, and Languages. Our school will begin this transition in 2025, focusing on aligning our teaching and assessment practices with the updated curriculum.
What this means for your child
There will be no immediate change to your child’s classroom learning experiences. However, you may notice that starting this semester, the new curriculum is being used in our reporting. As a result, this semester’s reports will not include data on previous progression, and therefore, growth will not be represented in the usual way. We want to assure you that in all reports after this semester, both growth and previous progression will be included so that you can fully track your child’s development over time.
Our teachers are currently engaging in professional learning to ensure a smooth transition, and our reporting will evolve to clearly reflect the updated achievement standards and learning outcomes.
If you have any questions or would like further information about these changes, please visit the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority website or contact your child’s classroom teacher.
Thank you for your continued support as we implement these important curriculum updates.
