Griffins Hockey - Season Launch

The 2025 hockey season is here! Join us on Wednesday 9 April, for the official Griffins hockey season launch. This is a great chance for all players, new and returning, to come together, meet teammates, and get excited for the season ahead.

We will have a BBQ and a team catch-up. Shirts will be handed out, so please contact your coach if you cannot attend.

Griffins Soccer Registrations - Open next Thursday

Get ready, soccer players! Great Southern Griffins soccer is opening registrations next Thursday for the upcoming season. All players who have nominated will receive an email with registration details. A link will also be available in next week's Anchor.

Griffins Basketball

The Albany Basketball Association summer competition ended on the weekend. Congratulations to three teams, the Crusaders (Men’s B), the Mavericks (9/10B div 2), and the Angels (5/6G div 3), who all played in grand final matches, and thanks to the massive support crew who came to cheer these teams on.

Congratulations also go to the following players, who were announced by the Albany Basketball Association as Allstar5 for the season in their year/division.

Our club held its end-of-season wind-up on Sunday 30 March, to celebrate the end of the season. Each year, this event announces the Griffins Basketball Sportsperson of the Year Award. This year, the award was presented to Reagan Warren. Congratulations, Reagan!

Thank you to players, coaches, team managers, the committee, scorers, parents/family, and the Griffins administration, who all contributed to a fun and memorable season. Thank you to the Till family and their business, Grande Foods, who contributed drinks and ice cream to the wind-up.
