Years 2 & 3

It has been lovely to get back into learning after the holidays. The children have been calm and settled since returning to school and have started doing great work already.

The highlight of our English lessons has been our new class text The tale of Despereaux by Kate di Camillo. This story has captured everyone's imagination and we have been waiting with great excitement to hear what happens in each next chapter. We have gotten stuck into some good work in maths, working on skip counting and strategies for addition and subtraction.

Congratulations to everyone for their efforts in the cross country on Wednesday. There were many mixed feelings amongst the group towards the event, but each and every student gave the event a full 100% in terms of attitude and effort and it was just a beautiful thing to see!
