Whole school Lume Excursion

This week, every class at SKiPPS had the incredible opportunity to visit THE LUME Melbourne and experience the stunning exhibition, 'Van Gogh Reimagined'

Over the course of the week, students explored this immersive, interactive world of art, engaging with Van Gogh’s masterpieces in a way that brought his work to life like never before.

This unforgettable experience was made possible thanks to an incredibly generous donation from a SKiPPS family, allowing all of our students to attend and enjoy this extraordinary exhibition with their classmates and teachers. We are deeply grateful for this wonderful gift, which made it possible for our whole school to participate in this unique learning opportunity.

From walking through towering projections of Starry Night and Sunflowers to stepping inside a life-sized recreation of Van Gogh’s Bedroom, students were completely absorbed in the vibrant world of Van Gogh. The 'Finding Vincent' VR experience, interactive Art Play space, and mesmerizing Infinity Room added even more excitement to their visit.

Students absolutely loved this hands-on, sensory-rich experience.

They were inspired by the colors, textures, and emotions in Van Gogh’s work, and many were eager to create their own masterpieces after seeing his art in such a unique setting.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to THE LUME Melbourne for hosting such a remarkable exhibition, to our staff and parent volunteers for supporting this excursion, and most of all, to the generous SKiPPS family who made this experience possible for every student.
