End of Term Assembly – This Friday at 2:00pm!
As we wrap up a fantastic Term 1, we are excited to invite families to our End of Term Assembly this Friday at 2:00pm in the quadrangle.
With our early finish at 2:30pm, this is a wonderful way to celebrate the term together before we head into the holidays!
This special assembly will also feature many of the performances we sadly missed two weeks ago when our Harmony Day Assembly was cancelled. We are delighted to finally showcase these wonderful acts, including:
- 🎻 A performance from the SKiPPS Orchestra
- 🎶 Incredible student musical and dance performances
- 🎤 Singing from our Foundation students and their Year 5 buddies
- 🌏 Our Year 1 students sharing their Harmony Day learning
It promises to be a joyful and uplifting celebration, and we would love to see as many parents and carers there as possible to support our students.
We look forward to celebrating a fantastic term 1 with you all!
Term 2 will begin on Tuesday 22nd April with school starting at 9am.
Dates to remember:
Friday 25th April - ANZAC Day public holiday
Monday 28th April - Curriculum Day (no students at school)
St Kilda FC Players Visit SKiPPS!
This week, we were lucky to welcome some St Kilda Football Club players to SKiPPS! Our Year 5 and 6 students had the fantastic opportunity to hear from these professional athletes as they shared insights into their lives in the AFL, their journeys to getting drafted, and what it takes to play at the highest level.
Students asked some brilliant questions, and the players gave thoughtful and inspiring answers about hard work, resilience, and the dedication required to succeed in professional sport.
A huge thank you to the Saints for taking the time to visit, and to Tom McKenzie for organising this amazing opportunity for our students!
Lost Property - please check before the end of term
As we approach the end of term, our lost property collection is overflowing with clothing, lunchboxes, and other belongings!
If your child has misplaced something this term, please take a moment to check the lost property area, located just off the quadrangle near the stairs to the Year 2 classrooms.
We kindly ask families to collect any lost items by Friday at 2:30pm.
Any unclaimed belongings after this time will be donated to charity.
Thank you for your help in reuniting these items with their owners!
Celebration of the Arts 2025 - help needed
Even though our annual Celebration of the Arts event isn’t until October, we are already making plans! If you have skills or experience in any aspect of art display, production or theatre, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for support with staging, sets, props, costumes, event posters, and anything else you may be able to contribute.
Your help would be greatly appreciated in bringing this event to life!
