A message from the Principal

Ride to School Day

On Friday, 21st March, many from our school community participated in National Ride to School Day. It was fantastic to see so many students and families meet at the RSL Carpark at 8:30 am and ride together to school. Congratulations to everyone who joined in! Check out the photos below of the event.

Harmony Day

Last Friday, we celebrated Harmony Day at school, showcasing the diversity that makes our community so special. Students from all year levels came together to create a video that celebrates the 13 languages spoken by students at our school, as well as the many cultures that enrich our environment.

We are proud of our commitment to inclusivity, and this event was a wonderful celebration of our shared values. Be sure to check out the video on our Facebook page and join us in celebrating the diversity within our school community.

School Photos

School photos will be taken tomorrow, Tuesday, 25th March. Please ensure that students are in full school uniform for the photos.

If you have already placed an order, it will still be valid. If you are unsure about the ordering process or have any questions, please contact Bridgid, Carmel or Kate in the office for assistance.

St Peter’s Cross Country

Next Monday, 31st March, is the St Peter’s Cross Country! Students have been practising during walking time over the last few weeks and are now ready for the event.

The juniors will run around the oval and soccer pitch, while the middle and senior students will complete a track that includes the oval, soccer pitch, and the area around the St Peter’s boundary. All events will take place during the middle session, between 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm. The junior event will start at 12:00 pm, followed by the Year 3/4 race at 12:30 pm, and the Year 5/6 race at 1:00 pm.

We’re excited to see our students showcase their hard work and enthusiasm!

Bush Dance

Next Tuesday, 1st April, is our St Peter’s Bush Dance! This event has been a highlight of the year for the past couple of years, and we’re excited to host it again.

Students will work with the Bush Dance band throughout the day, and then we’ll come together at 5:00 pm after the Learning Expo for a pizza dinner. The dancing will begin at 5:45 pm, and families are invited to join in the fun until 7:00 pm.

To help us organise the pizza dinner, please complete the SimonEverywhere Bush Dance RSVP survey with your family’s details and your intention of attending, along with any dietary requirements. We hope to see you all there!

Learning Expo – Change of Date

Last week, we announced that the Learning Expo would be held on Friday, 28th March, but due to several staff being away for professional learning, we have decided to reschedule it to Tuesday, 1st April, before our Bush Dance. Families are invited to come into the classrooms from 4:30 pm to 5:15 pm to explore the students' learning from this term before joining us for the pizza dinner and bush dancing. We hope to see you there!

Easter Fundraiser

As we prepare for our annual Easter Raffle, we are seeking donations to help create the prizes for this event. If you are able to contribute, please drop off your donations at the office by Wednesday, 2nd April. We truly appreciate your generosity, and any contributions, big or small, are welcome. Your support helps make this event a success for our school community.

The Easter Raffle will be drawn on the last day of term. Additional sheets of raffle tickets are available for purchase at the office, starting at $5 per sheet.

Easter Term Holidays

Our Easter break will commence on Friday, 4th April. The Easter Raffle will be drawn at assembly just before school finishes at 2.15pm for the end of term.

Students will return for Term 2 on Monday, 28th April. This extended holiday period allows staff from the Sandhurst Diocese to participate in professional learning sessions with distinguished educational speakers from around the world. Please mark these dates on your calendar if you haven’t already.

God Bless,
