Once again, applications are open for the Allan J Findlay Memorial Bursary, proudly established by the Lions and Rotary Clubs of Bright.
Allan J Findlay, better known as Big Al, was well known for the support he gave to many organisations and individuals, for connecting with folk of all ages and backgrounds, and for making a huge difference in the lives of so many.
The purpose of the Bursary is primarily to assist young people in continuing Al’s philosophy of selfless community contribution, and to assist them to fulfil their aspirations of giving back to their community.

Young people who are helping to make the world a better place are ideal candidates for this Bursary.
A total bursary of $2000 will be made annually (by the Lions and Rotary Clubs of Bright) to support a young person with financial assistance to reach their goals and/or further their studies, expand their networks to reach out and connect with others in their area of commitment and/or concern.

Lesley Duxbury’s Look Both Ways invites viewers to see Bogong Village through a different lens—literally. Using a Black Mirror, an 18th-century optical tool once favoured by artists and travellers, the exhibition reinterprets the landscapes around Lake Guy, capturing them as moody, atmospheric reflections of place.
Based in Gippsland, Duxbury works across photography, printmaking, and text, exploring landscapes and our perceptions of place. Her work is held in major public collections across Australia.
B–CSC Gallery hours: Friday to Sunday, 10.30 to 4 pm.
Location: Main Street, Bogong Village
