Week 8, Term 4
Students have been enjoying this year's swimming program at the Peter Krenz Leisure Centre. A massive thank you to Mr Smith for all of his hard work in organising this event!
Last week, Billie R and Peggy P from Grade 6 took each of the 3/4 classes for a STEM session. Students used Spheros (sphere shaped robots) to complete a variety of challenges involving problem solving skills, resilience and communication. Billie and Peggy did an amazing job and it was wonderful to see them share their passion for STEM with us!
Mathematics: This fortnight we will be covering a variety of concepts in our Applied and Authentic Maths' sessions. These will include money, space, shapes, volume and problem solving.
Writing & Reading: Students will choose some of their favourite written pieces from this term and publish them to take home. They will also have the opportunity to explore some of their favourite text types through the use of their Writer's Notebooks this fortnight.
Topic: Check out our awesome posters from this fortnight's Topic and Literacy sessions! Well done to everyone for their hard work in researching Australia's different states and territories!
