Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships:
Problem Solving in 1/2 Murphy
This week in Respectful Relationships we looked at some real-life problems that children might have. We read some scenarios and then brainstormed a number of different ways to approach the problem. We started with the problem in the middle of our circle and then added a hula hoop representing all the different realistic options that were available to children. All the students had great ideas including, talking to teachers, parents or other trusted adults, being an upstander and using the ‘stop routine’.
We then played a cooperative ‘Let’s work together’ game, where the students had to get a hula hoop around a circle of linked hands. Our best time was 1 minute and 24 seconds which everyone was very proud of!

We have almost collected enough puzzle pieces to reach our Level 2 Whole School Reward. As a result, it has been decided that we will celebrate by having a Pool Day at the end of this term!
A Compass event regarding the cost and times for each Grade level will be posted in the next few days, so please keep an eye out for this information. Well done to all of our fantastic students for their hard work in achieving this special day!
