Mandarine Leader Program

Mandarin Leader Program Highlights

Dear Families,

We are excited to share the wonderful progress and achievements of our Mandarin Leader Program! On 28th of October Monday, our Grade 5 Mandarin Leaders worked closely with our enthusiastic Grade 1 and 2 students, creating an engaging and supportive environment to foster language learning. The phrases they learnt are the following.

1 jiā yóu 加油 (go! )

2 gāi wǒ le 该我了 (my turn)

3 gāi nǐ le 该你了 (your turn)

4 wǒ yíng le 我赢了 (I win)

5 gōng xǐ 恭喜 (congratulations)

🌟 Program Highlights:

1.Leadership in Action:Our Grade 5 students have truly embraced their roles as Mandarin Leaders! Through guiding and encouraging their younger peers, they’ve shown patience, dedication, and responsibility. These young leaders are not only refining their own Mandarin skills but also building confidence in teaching and mentoring.

2. Interactive Learning Sessions:The Mandarin Leaders had lead fun and interactive activities for Grade 1 and 2 students to make learning Mandarin exciting and approachable. From practicing designed sentences and common phrases, our younger students are developing a strong foundation in Mandarin.  All languages and interactions were designed to keep young minds engaged.

Looking AheadAs the program progresses, our Grade 5 Leaders will continue to develop more activities and learning tools that aim to involve the whole school community at DCC to embrace learning languages, where all students will have the opportunity to showcase their new language skills and cultural knowledge.

Thank you for your support in making the Mandarin Leader Program a success!
