Monday 25th November
Year 9 Road Safety Excursion
As part of Careers & Leadership, Our Year 9 students are completing a unit of work on Road Safety. Students have learned about the various laws and regulations that apply when on the road, as well as the toll that unsafe driving takes on the wider community. To complement this work, students will be heading to the Melbourne Museum for the Road to Zero Experience. Road to Zero is a world first Victorian government initiative, which was created in partnership with TAC and Melbourne Museum.
- Students arrive at Williams Landing Station by 8am. Staff will be at the Station from 7.45am in high visibility clothing.
- Roll call will be at 8.05am sharp. Only students marked present at this roll call will be able to attend the excursion.
- 8.15am Train departs Williams Landing.
- 9.30am- 1.30pm Students complete the various activities at Melbourne Museum.
- 1.45pm Students depart via return train.
- 2.35pm Students dismissed from Williams Landing Station.
Monday 2nd December
Year 6 Adventure Park Excursion- Consent and Payent due 25th November
Students will need to bring their lunch, snack and water bottle on the day. Please do not place a lunch order for this day. Children should wear uniform to school, with their bathers underneath. Please ensure they have their school bag with:
- a towel
- their food and water
- thongs or other appropriate footwear
- a hat
- sunscreen
- plastic bag for their wet items to go in at the end of the day.
Tuesday 3rd December
Year 4 Swimming Program - Altona Beach -Consent due 24th November
- Children will need to wear their school uniform to school but have their swimming items e.g. swimmers, towel, cap (for those with long hair), change of underpants, rash vest, thongs in another bag.
- Students will need to wear their school hat when out of the water.
- They will also be required to bring a packed lunch and drink bottle.
Group 1 - 9:45am - 11:45am (4B & 4E)
Group 2 - 12:15pm - 2:15pm (4D &4F)
Wednesday 4th December

Monday 9th December
Year 9 City Experience - Consent Due Monday 2nd December
Description/Educative Purpose: For Careers and Leadership, students will travel to the city and work in groups to navigate city landmarks that have influenced the multicultural and diversity of Melbourne. Students will be required to bring a charged MYKI card for use on public transport |
Proposed landmarks to visit:
- Sandridge Railway Bridge (Pedestrian Walk) located behind Flinders St Station, uses artwork and story narratives to highlight the skilled migrant contribution to the building of the city of Melbourne
- NGV (opp Flinders St Station)
- City Circle Tram ride to circumnavigate the city block
- Leadership experiential walk (teams to navigate iconic Melbourne landmarks including China Town, Melbourne Central – where lunch will be-, Greek precinct, Bourke St Mall and associated alley art work)
- ANZAC Train Station tour – new station opened for general tours (not use)
Format for the day:- Students arrive at Williams Landing Station by 8am. MB, JF, DW, HJ will be at the Station from 7.45am in high visibility clothing. - Roll call will be at 8.05am sharp. Thursday 12th December
Year 9 Graduation
- The ceremony will be held in the school gym.
- Dress code for the event is semi-formal.
- The event runs from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
- Students and families are welcome to enter from 5.15pm so that we can make a prompt start
- Parents are invited for the first hour of the ceremony (5.30-6.30pm), where awards will be presented.
- The second hour of the ceremony will be students-only festivities (supervised by staff).
- At 7.25pm, families are invited back to the gym to collect their child and depart.
Tuesday 17th December
Year 9 Celebration Excursion to the Cinemas- Consent and Payment due 6th December
- Year 9 students should arrive at Tarneit Station by 9am with a charged Myki ready to catch the train.
- Staff will be at Tarneit Station from 8.30am in high visibility clothing, ready to meet any students that arrive early. The event roll will then be marked on the train platform, with students marked 'Not Present' unable to attend.
- The group will then catch the train to southern cross, before changing over to a second train to Melbourne Central.
- We will then go to Melbourne Central Food Court for an early lunch and some recreation time before the movie.
- We will then head to Melbourne Central Hoyts Cinemas for the 11:00am movie session.
- After the movie, we will catch the train back to Tarneit, and students will be dismissed from Tarneit Station at 3.00pm and will need to make their own way home.
Friday 20th December
- End of Year Reports
Reports will be available on Friday 20th December.
- Last day Term 4. Early dissmisal 12.30pm
