Year 5 students bravely presented their leadership speeches over 2 rounds this term. Thank you to all our Chatswood PS students were carefully listening to the speeches and thoughtfully choosing their leadership team for 2025. The Student Leadership team members have been notified of their success and await to hear their positions at Presentation Day next week. Thank you and well done to Brandon X and Merrick Z, two of our 2024 prefects, who kindly hosted Round 1 & 2.
From Wednesday to Friday during Week 7, our CPS House Captains had the incredible opportunity to attend the CCAS camp at the Narrabeen Sports and Recreation Centre, to help “flex their leadership muscles.”
This was a truly phenomenal experience for the captains, as they engaged in activities that allowed them to socialise with peers from all over NSW, create strong friendships, and gain valuable teamwork skills. We are so proud of their growth and commitment to leadership!
This week, our Solar students took the initiative to roll out their campaigns across the school to promote impr recycling practices. They visited every class to educate and encourage their peers about the importance of throwing recyclable items in the correct bins.
Congratulation to our SRC team who facilitated the raising of $1078.80 for Stewart House this week. Students dressed up in their future career outfits. Many professions were represented. We saw soccer players, doctors, lawyers and zookeepers just to name a few! Thank you to all students who brought in a gold coin donation. All funds donated will go to the Stewart House foundation, which offers children vital optometric, dental, and medical treatment, as well as emotional support, in a nurturing beachside setting.
