Presentation Day

We have our Presentation Day coming up on Thursday 5 December.

  • K-2 assembly 10:00 am
  • 3-6 assembly 11:30 am

If your child is receiving an award on this day, you will have already received an invitation to attend. We do have limited space for additional parents and carers who wish to join us, even if your child is not receiving an award.

If you would like to attend either assembly, please kindly contact the school office to check on availability.

The event is being hosted by Chatswood High School and I would like to sincerely thank the high school for allowing us to utilise their facilities.

Celebration of Learning

Scripture, P&C, and Volunteer Morning Tea - Thank You!

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing Chatswood Public School community for your generous contributions towards our students, staff, and parents. A big thank you to the Scripture and Ethics Teachers, as well as the P&C. We are also very thankful to all the parents, caregivers, grandparents, and community members who provide invaluable support to our students every day. It truly takes a village to nurture our students, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful village.

P&C

We had a fantastic P&C AGM on Tuesday night with all positions being filled. I would like to sincerely thank and welcome new and existing members into their roles. Brian Chiu will be our P&C President in 2025. It was great to have questions and talk about Chatswood PS planning for 2025. In particular, I spoke to:

  • Our move to grade based classes.
  • Our desire to find ways to involve the community in more school based activities like assemblies moving into 2025.
  • Our audit and planning around our school calendar in 2025 and trying to minimise interruptions to learning.

To top off the meeting we had a brilliant presentation from some stage 3 students. I was so impressed with the way they were able to communicate so clearly to a group of adults. Well done to Brandon X, Catherine S, Eva J and Madison T who presented and worked on this project over the year.

Oak

Thank you to our Inclusive Hub students for decorating the office with such lovely Christmas decorations. Your effort and creativity have brought a touch of festive cheer to our school, and it is appreciated by everyone who visits.

Recycling campaigns

I had a wonderful visit from 3 groups from Solar students to share their work and ideas about recycling that they have been working on in class. They all had vastly different ideas but had worked so well together as a team to come up with strong presentations.

I wanted to share the recycling websites created by our students! These websites are fantastic resources that you can explore together with your children.

Please check them out to learn more about how to recycle and take care of our planet. It's a great way to engage with your children on the importance of environmental responsibility!

Thank you for supporting our students and their efforts to promote sustainability!

Applications are now being accepted for Kindergarten 2025. If your child turns 5 before July 31, 2025 they are eligible to start school next year. We would appreciate local area enrolments submitting their applications as soon as possible.

We offer our support and encourage you to complete your application to enrol online. If, however you do not feel comfortable completing an application online, a paper copy will be available for collection from the front office or you can download from the Department's website.
