TEACHING AND LEARNING

During Weeks 5 and 6, our wonderful students have engaged in various assessments to provide teachers with a clear picture of their progress over the past semester. These assessments play an important role in helping teachers form accurate judgments and set personalised goals for each student, all of which will be detailed in the upcoming reports. While assessments can sometimes be challenging and anxiety-inducing for some children, our students have demonstrated our school values of Growth and Excellence by giving each task a “red-hot go” and having a growth mindset. It’s fantastic to see students believing in themselves and taking pride in their continuous growth. Our teachers look forward to discussing students’ reports with parents in the coming weeks and celebrating all the wonderful learning that has taken place in 2024

Mr Rodger and Mrs Shell have been working with a Numeracy extension group for our Year 2 students who are looking to extend their mathematical understanding. This program provides opportunities that challenge students to deepen their problem-solving abilities and enhance their mathematical reasoning. We are proud to see our young mathematicians taking on these exciting challenges, and we look forward to witnessing their growth and enthusiasm!
