The major awards of Middle School (Years 7-9) Sportsman of the Year and Senior School (Years 10-12) Sportsman of the Year, will be presented at the Speech Night at MyState Arena on Wednesday 4 December.
Congratulations to Team sVc for their strong performance at their first rowing regatta of the year. In blustery conditions, the rowing team raced in a mix of events, small and large boats, at the two-day regatta at Franklin, Huonville.
After winning their 4th straight Head of the River Junior Shield, and winning two National Gold Medals earlier this year, the students are eager to build on their success this season.

Congratulations to Team sVc, runners-up in the Year 7/8 Boys division going down 1-2 to Riverside High, in a very skilful and defensive grand final at Prospect Park, Launceston.
The Year 7/8 team played magnificently all day, going undefeated in their pool matches and semi-final. Unfortunately, the Year 9/10 team couldn’t put it together on the day and didn’t record a win.
Well done to all students and staff for representing St Virgil's College with such pride and commitment.

Coyle-Clingeleffer Cup: SVC vs St Pats Year 8/9 on Wednesday 20 November at St Patrick’s College, Launceston.
1st X1 SATIS T20 competition in Launceston on 28-29 November.
1st X1 Saunders-DiVenuto Cup: SVC vs The Hutchins School - 1st XI match will now be played in early 2025 as part of the SATIS 1st XI roster.
The College has four teams competing in the Southern Regional Basketball Championships this weekend. The top two teams in Division 1 will qualify for the State Championships in Launceston in a few weeks.
Anyone interested in supporting our players and staff, please find the initial roster for Saturday below. The games will be held at three different locations: Swisherr, Clarence Sports Centre, and Kingborough Sports Centre.
