Glow Disco Success

We are thrilled to share that our Glow Disco Night on Saturday 27th July was an incredible success! Both sessions were sold out and the 400+ kids had a fantastic time dancing, playing, colouring, and having fun throughout their session.  Not only did we have a lot of fun, but we also raised more than $2500 for the school! 

A special thank you goes out to the Grade 6 buddies—over 30 of them—for helping out with our Preppies and younger students during the first disco session. Your support made a big difference and an unforgettable night for all. 

The kids enjoyed dancing and singing to the music, made the most of their glowsticks, shiny attire and glow in the dark tattoos, as well as the fun photo wall set up for the occasion, thanks to the kind donation of the Dutch Club.

Those in need of a break, spent time chilling out in the colouring corner. Over 35 kilos of fruit gave them extra energy for all that dancing! And even though the icypoles weren't frozen, the kids still enjoyed them as a treat at the end of the session.

We want to extend our gratitude to the 38 volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to lend their time, knowledge, skills, and experience. They made sure each session ran smoothly, and everyone was having heaps of fun. As well as our amazing photographer Emily Mulholland for capturing the happiness and excitement of the night. 

An extra special thank you to the amazing six volunteers who were there for both shifts! And finally, a big shout out to Monica Espinosa (Patrick & Matilda's mum) who made it all possible thanks to her tireless organisation and enthusiasm over many weeks leading up to the big night. 

The evening would not have been possible without the generous support of a number of local Carnegie businesses.  Thank you to the Dutch Club for their ongoing support in allowing us to use their venue for various events, Woolworths for their kind donation of fruit and icypoles, Officeworks and Melissa Peripetsakis for the stationery in the quiet corner materials, and Sharetea and GongCha for their vouchers to thank our Grade 6 buddies!
