TCS TRACK & FIELD: SCHOOL CHAMPIONS! 

Massive congratulations to all of our students who competed in the TCS Track and Field Championships last week. As a College, we had a remarkable day with six students winning Age Champions and St Mary's being crowned overall School Champions!

  • Piper Devine achieved two TCS records in the 200m and 400m track events

JSS COMPETITION

The JSS competition kicked off in Week 5, with St Mary's competing against St Andrew's in the first round. We had good wins in:

  • Touch Football girls
  • Volleyball girls
  • AFL boys
  • Basketball boys
  • Soccer boys
  • Volleyball balls
  • We drew in the Netball girls and Touch Football boys.

Shameah Blanco Enoch designed the Sports Department's Sports Tours Polo Shirts.

Shameah's design has also been featured on the QISSN netball dress, Confraternity Rugby League Jersey, and All-Schools Touch shorts.

KEY INFORMATION 

Junior Sports Program - Key Information:

All sport Information is uploaded to the Sports Canvas page. 

Year 7, 8 and 9 Students: Wednesday Period 5 and 6

  • All students wear their SMCC sports uniform (Sports Shirt, shorts, and SMCC socks). Students should also ensure that they bring a hat, water bottle, and sunscreen. 
  • Students are to refer to the Junior Sports Plan to know what activity they will be doing and where they are to meet at 1:30 pm.
  • JSS teams will play against Bentley Park College in the second round of the JSS competition. All students are to meet outside of the HOB at 12:45 pm.
  • JSS team students should ensure they bring the appropriate sports equipment and wear the appropriate sports attire. Soccer players are to wear shin guards, and AFL players are to wear mouthguards. Students will need to bring their lunch to JSS. 

Senior Sports Program - Key Information:

Year 10, and 11 Students: Tuesday Period 5 and 6

  • Year 10 and 11 students are to wear their SMCC sports uniform (Sports Shirt, shorts, and SMCC socks).
  • Year 10 and 11 students please refer to the Senior Sports plan to know what activity you will be doing and where you are to meet at 1:30 pm.
  • Year 12 students will engage in their Year 12 program for Semester 2. 

TCS & PENINSULA TRIAL INFORMATION

PENINSULA PAPERWORK

Students wishing to trial for TCS must complete the Peninsula paperwork before they can trial. This can be downloaded from the Sports Canvas page, or a printed copy can be collected from the leaflet box outside the Sports Office (near the Sports Mailbox).

 

Parents must complete the Peninsula Paperwork before the student can attend the TCS trials. 

 

The Sports Department will seek the relevant approvals from the College Leadership Team. Two days after submission, students can collect the Peninsula Paperwork from the Sports Office at lunch. 

 

Students must take this paperwork to the TCS trials (unless it is paper nominations). If it is a paper nomination, parents must submit it via the link/QR code provided.
