Careers Education

Year 7 students began their career journey this week in their extended mentor sessions and it will continue throughout this term. Brinbeal Secondary College is utilising Career Tools to assist students in planning for the their future, including the VCE years, getting part-time jobs and learning about their post-school options. Topics covered within the careers education sessions include:

• What is work?
• School subjects & careers
• Volunteering
• Achieving success

Students will also begin developing their Careers Action Plan and an e-Portfolio. These will be developed on the Career Tools platform and built on each year throughout their secondary schooling. Students have all been provided with login details to the platform. We would encourage all parents to explore the Career Tools website with their children. The website also has information for parents to assist them  supporting children with their career planning.
