Principal's Message
Dear Families, Students and Community Members,
Welcome back to a new school term.
Teachers and support staff are feeling rejuvenated and re-energised and ready to tackle another jam packed term of teaching and learning.
As always we are planning some exciting whole school events and look forward to your ongoing engagement and support in our programs. The newsletter as always contains a lot of curriculum, wellbeing and community news.
For students, our high expectations around punctuality will assist them with actively engaging with their learning each lesson by making sure that they do not miss the starter, and also that they are prepared to engage effectively by having the correct equipment, and by not being distracted by their mobile phones as they have been locked away in their lockers for the school day.
NAPLAN
Parents and carers of students in Years 7 who undertook this year’s NAPLAN assessment in March will have received an individual student report (ISR) of their child’s results.
For more information:
Visit the VCAA NAPLAN website at www.nap.edu.au/naplan/results-and-reports
Read the VCAA parents and carers information guide on ISRs at https://nap.edu.au/docs/default-source/naplan/isr-parent-carer-faq.pdf – it’s also available in other languages on the NAPLAN website.
Parent Opinion Survey
All families were contacted this week with the opportunity to complete the Parent Opinion Survey.
Your opinions are important to us and will contribute to identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies. The department will use the results from the survey for research purposes and to improve outcomes for students.
The survey will be conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete. It can be completed on any internet enabled device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone) and is compatible with most browsers.
Please have a look on your Compass Feed for the link; it is always great to hear your feedback!
Kind Regards,
Mr. Simon Haber
