Police in Schools Session

Year 5 & 6

On Thursday the 1st of August, members from the Narre Warren Police department presented to the Year 5/6 students. We had two senior constables run a presentation about Cyber Bullying, stealing, their role as police officers, online safety, consequences for criminal behaviour, fines and charges.

Some things we learnt were: anyone over the age of 10 can be spoken to and/or charged by police, police call cyber-bullying assault, there are consequences for your actions, there are different levels of charges and fines, a criminal record stays on your record your entire life, this can affect you getting a job in the future, even if you got a criminal record when you were young.

We are grateful that the Narre Warren Police department visited Clyde Primary school, everyone learnt a lot from the visit.
