Maths
In Term 3, students will engage with activities that allow them to:
- Develop their multiplicative thinking.
- Recognise and represent multiplication as repeated addition, groups and arrays.
- Recognise and represent division as grouping into equal sets and solve simple problems using these representations.
- Continue to extend their understanding of counting patterns, the number system and place value.
- Build fluency in counting, skip counting and recalling basic number facts.
- Develop strategies to solve problems.
- Develop reasoning skills to explain their thinking.
- Develop their ability to identify and describe the features of 2D and 3D shapes.
- Use of Matific to practise and consolidate all of the above skills.
