In Term 3, students will engage with activities that allow them to:

  • Develop their multiplicative thinking.
  • Recognise and represent multiplication as repeated addition, groups and arrays.
  • Recognise and represent division as grouping into equal sets and solve simple problems using these representations.
  • Continue to extend their understanding of counting patterns, the number system and place value.
  • Build fluency in counting, skip counting and recalling basic number facts.
  • Develop strategies to solve problems.
  • Develop reasoning skills to explain their thinking.
  • Develop their ability to identify and describe the features of 2D and 3D shapes.
  • Use of Matific to practise and consolidate all of the above skills.
