General Overview
Welcome back to Term 3.
We hope you have all had a lovely holiday. We are looking forward to an exciting term full of rich opportunities to learn. In classrooms this term, your child will expand their ability to grow as critical and creative learners and engage with new knowledge in increasingly sophisticated ways.
We have also welcomed exchange students from China into our classrooms this week, who will remain with us for several weeks. It has been an exciting opportunity for students to form connections and welcome them into our learning environments.
Home Learning:
The Term 3 focus for home learning is reading and an ongoing inquiry research project which will be a shared project between home and school. Students will add to their project each week and share their progress with their peers.
Each night students should continue to read for approximately 20 minutes to promote and consolidate the enjoyment of reading and various comprehension skills they have learned in class.
Students will continue to use Nessy and Matific using their take-home password books. The set tasks on these platforms are periodically updated to reflect current curriculum strands we are completing in class.
